DPD implements new cost-efficient, paperless invoice processing solution
apsolut supported DPD, one of Europe's leading providers of express and parcel delivery services, to optimize its invoice processing system. Digital signatures for electronic invoice processing was successfully implemented in conjunction with SAP SRM SUS (SAP Supplier Portal – Supplier Self Service).
This satisfies the legal requirements concerning advance returns for tax on sales/purchases. Digital invoice documents can only be considered for tax purposes if they include a signature that uniquely identifies the issuer.
The entire process can now be handled electronically from start to finish at DPD. As a result, hard-copy invoices no longer need to be submitted and entering invoice documents in the accounting system is now a thing of the past. The integration of an external signature provider eliminates the need for suppliers to implement a costly card reader infrastructure.
The benefits of this process optimization for DPD comprise significant savings in terms of both time and money, as well as fully digitalized processes.
