apsolut successfully provided PHOENIX CONTACT with support for its implementation of SAP MDM 3.0 and replacement of its Healy Hudson catalog, as well as for the subsequent rollout to the company's international subsidiaries in Eastern Europe (Nowy Tomysl/Poland). PHOENIX CONTACT, which has its headquarters in Blomberg is one of the leading providers of connection technology, automation technology, electrical interface technology, and surge protection (http://www.phoenixcontact.com). The MM/SRM implementation in Nowy Tomysl replaces the Purchasing department's existing ERP system and jumpstarts it into the world of SAP. Following a smooth upgrade to SAP SRM 5.0 in 2008, the rollout in Nowy Tomysl is seen as the next step in this success story.
This project centers around the internal use of SAP SRM within PHOENIX CONTACT offices worldwide. The system optimizes the purchasing process in various ways, i.e., lead times are shortened, while supplier and product diversity and general process costs are reduced. In addition, the data provides a valid foundation for meaningful spend management, which can serve to detect further areas with potential for optimization. As a result of these benefits, the user group was extended to include users in other subsidiaries. When searching for the right partner to implement its rollout project and its MDM 3.0 catalog, PHOENIX CONTACT had to look no further than apsolut, which offers more than 10 years of experience in SAP SRM rollout, in addition to a wealth of project skills in adjacent components within the area of Catalog & Content Management.
