SAP Fiori
SAP Fiori is often associated with Fiori apps – but Fiori apps are exclusive applications developed in the SAPUI5 framework, based on the Fiori design language and the Fiori guidelines.
However, SAP Fiori goes far beyond this association: It is the name of the latest UX strategy from which SAP is shifting the focus from pure functionality to the user experience for the first time. With Fiori, SAP is focusing on usability standards and future-oriented designs – honored with the Red Dot Design Award. Fiori is already a recognized standard in SAP S/4HANA applications and will be used as a design language in all SAP products in the future.

With the launch of SAP Fiori, the requirements for application development have been redefined. Where previously programming focused on flowcharts and technical integration, the process now begins with design thinking and thus the discovery of possibilities. In the build process, a first clickable design of the processes is quickly created. In addition to usability, the focus is particularly on security: modern log-on options such as social sign-on are supplemented by security-relevant aspects such as two-factor authentication, PIN/TAN procedures and VPN.
